Benvenuti a tutti! I’m Mel, the founder of Preserve. As both a local Washingtonian and an urban planning professional, I am dedicated to showcasing the rich history and preservation of the National Capital Region while capturing memorable moments to share for years to come. With a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning and almost 10 years in the planning field, my expertise enriches my tours, allowing me to share the city's infrastructure through a lens that blends preservation with urban planning principles. We’ll meander through my favorite neighborhoods of D.C. and Virginia and get some great photos in the process.

Additionally, a portion of the proceeds of each tour will go towards protecting and maintaining the Rosedale Conservancy, a historic community-funded park in upper Northwest D.C.
